Very good! It is important to understand the user's "natural system" - that is what do they expect it to be? And then you model this and use it for your design.

Very good. I guess that is the point. But if you are going to "update the path" why not use the path that users created? I think you got the point though 😊

Try to make the goal and the indicator tangible. For example, success would be making a prosthetic foot that even people on no more than 20000Rp per week can afford. When you do this - you are setting parameters around your goal. The critical feature would be that anyone can attach it for themselves.
